Yay! We are home again. We have had the most amazing trip away. I've loved catching up with my friends, and it was grand to be at the Olympics. Thank you so much to Hilary, Holly, Katrina and Steph who we stayed with while we were in London. Being able to stay with each of them really made our trip.
We had an uneventful and long trip home. We saw lots of Olympic athletes from a real mixture of countries while we were at Heathrow. We even sat next to a Latvian judo athlete on the plane to Frankfurt! Finn also got to have a look in the cockpit of the airbus that we flew to Frankfurt in. Lucky boy!
We were able to go swimming again at the airport in Singapore. It's so lovely to splash around and be active in between such long flights. Plus it's a bonus to have a shower and change of clothes part way through the journey.
Thank you for following us on our dream holiday. We're really excited to go back to school and work next week and see our classes and our friends.

I didn't realize that Singapore airport had a swimming pool as part of the complex, what a great idea, very refreshing for wary travellers.
Must have been nice to reach the London part of your journey, to see familiar faces and catch up with friends of years past. Staying to do this is such a good idea, you'd really have time to catch up rather than having a fleeting visit. Must have been nice to have the comforts of staying in a real home rather than a hotel room.
Now so much catching up to do with friends and family back home, jet setting around the world, then hitting the ground running once you get home! I'm sure both of your classes will be very excited to have you back next week.
Hope you both quickly adjust to our time zone and settle back into the normal routine of non holiday time. Once things settle back down, I look forward to coming and visiting you (Yay! My own mini holiday!)
