This afternoon the Webb Ellis Trophy came to school for a visit. We were able to get up close and see it properly. It really is the most exquisite trophy and such shiny gold. Our All Blacks are simply the best.
The yellow and black scarf and ribbon represent our Wellington rugby team - the Hurricanes. Several of the Hurricanes and their team mascot, Captain Hurricane, also came to visit this afternoon. Just awesome!

Finn the Brave
| Reece, Megan, Ryan, Kyle, Finn, Tia at Turere Lodge |
On our way out, Finn had a big fall on a wet bridge and he got caught in the wire netting on the bridge and it sliced very deeply into his leg in two places. We were still some distance from the end of the track but after some on the spot first aid, Finn was able to walk the rest of the way out. At the emergency medical centre, Finn the brave, had 18 stitches in his leg. 12 in the deep layers with dissolving stitches and 6 on the surface. Nasty.

60 days to go
60 more days to go! I am a so excited. We leave in the school holidays. We go to Rome then to Paris then off to England to see the Olympics. I am so looking forward to it. I have a travel journal and a pen so I shall be able to recall my adventures. We'll be away for 7 weeks. So keep checking! There will be more posts coming onto this blog! By Finn
Finn's got a pack
This is Finn's new pack for traveling. His challenge is to pack enough stuff for seven weeks in here and leave enough room for stuff we get along the way!
