We have had a great weekend visiting with Katrina and her family in Chipstead. It was really good to catch up. We visited Godstone Farm where you can feed the farm animals (goats, llama, rabbits, pigs, horses etc) and they have a small holding area where you could hold a rabbit. They also have a fabulous playground there that is huge and spreads out up a hill. The children spent ages playing there. They even had these little sleds where you could slide down wet artificial grass. That was a highlight for Finn!
Today we went walking through woodland in the Surrey Hills. It was very pleasant just strolling around. We also found time for a play at the park before catching the train back to Balham.
Hi Deb & Finn
ReplyDeleteSounds like Godstone farm was a relaxing family day and pace. Finn when I was younger than you at my grandmothers farm we had a sled and used to slide down the hill = lots of bumps as I crossed over the cow tracks, some tumbles off but great fun
It is great that you are getting some walks in before you have to sit for sooo long on your journey home. I am thrilled that you both are having such an amazing adventure.
Lots of love Mum
Hi Deb & Finn,
ReplyDelete(are the kids in the holding pen?)
The playground at Godstone Farm sounds really neat, the sledding super fun. It must have been nice to get out and do activities away from the masses. I always enjoy leaving the pavement and going walking through the bush... Many squirrels in the woodland today? On my walk the other day I saw three rabbits in the one yard (there are lots of wild bunnies out here).
There is more heavy rain outside after a weekend of heavy rain... I must get moving as I'm anticipating poor road conditions this morning on the trip into town.
Lots of love xoxo
