Words to describe Rome

Hot, smokers everywhere, homeless people, illegal sellers, angry sounding people, crazy drivers, tooting horns, motorbikes, gelato, pasta, pizza, piazza, old stuff, more old stuff, loads of tourists everywhere....

  1. The reality of a place is quite different from the picture perfect travel brochures, it's always interesting seeing what it is like with the people that live there. Being a different language where you only know limited words it would sound like a lot of noise.
The food must be amazing, nothing quite like authentic pizza, yum imagining a delicious margarita with fresh basil mmm. All the flavored must be amazing.
I hope there are some air conditioned places you can go for a break from the heat.
    Lots of love xoxo

Hi Deb & Finn. We have loved reading of your travels during this week. Feel envious of all the food choices available to you there. We don't envy you handling the heat though. Total contrast to what we've been experiencing here. You won't be sorry you weren't back in Wellington when the earthquake struck. It was a very strong shake here in Dannevirke. Enjoy the rest of your time in Rome. Love to you both.

  3. Hi Deb & Finn
I remember the crazy drivers and the street sellers of smokes - selling from tables in the middle of the road. 3 lane roads carrying 5 lines of cars and several cars going along the tram lines even when the train was coming - scary for me watching.
Lots of noise, excited people etc.Enjoy the atmosphere and aromas.
    Love Happy traveling
